The Pir Panjal region of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday received season’s first snowfall prompting authorities to issue travel advisory for Mughal road connecting Kashmir valley with the twin districts of Poonch and Rajouri.
The administration has asked people not to travel on Mughal road in night hours.
“Commuters are requested to cooperate and avoid travelling during night hours on Mughal Road as there are chances of rains and snowfall,” SSP Poonch Rajiv Pandey said.
The higher reaches of both Rajouri and Poonch received maiden snowfall of the season.
Higher reaches of Budhal and Samatsar reportedly received around one foot snowfall.
