Srinagar records 63 fresh cases, case tally at 336,237, death toll stands at 4,470, active cases reaches to 1,719, recovery rate at 98.16 percent
Srinagar, Nov 26: Jammu and Kashmir Friday witnessed four deaths and 174 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,719.
With four more deaths, the death toll in the UT stands at 4,470 and 174 fresh positive cases reported on Friday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 336,237.
Of the exact number of 336,237 cases, 211,297 are from Kashmir division and 124,940 from Jammu division. Officials told that among 174 new cases, 131 belong to Kashmir division while as 43 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 211,297 including 207,557 recoveries and 2,285 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 124,940 including 122,491 recoveries and 2,185 deaths
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,719 including 1,455 from Kashmir division and 264 from Jammu division.
With 174 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 330,048 which is 98.16 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 63 from Srinagar, 23 from Baramulla, 17 from Budgam, 00 from Pulwama, 13 from Kupwara, 00 from Anantnag, 09 from Bandipora, 06 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 43 from Jammu division include 17 from Jammu, 01 from Udhampur, 01:from Rajouri, 10 from Doda, 01 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 06 from Poonch, 01 from Ramban and 06 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Friday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 49.
As per officials figures, 77,085 positive cases including 864 deaths and 75,615 recoveries are from Srinagar, 25,312 including 286 deaths and 24,656 recoveries are from Baramulla, 24,139 including 23,822 recoveries and 210 deaths are from Budgam, 15,584 including 15,348 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,718 including 166 deaths and 14,440 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,662 including 16,440 recoveries and 206 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,968 cases including 9,909 and 104 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,707 including 10,495 recoveries and 79 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,510 including 11,381 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,612 including 5,551 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,599 including 52,310 recoveries and 1,151 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,437 including 11,292 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,319 including 11,067 recoveries and 238 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,926 including 7,768 recoveries and 133 deaths are from Doda, 9,349 including 9,193 recoveries and 152 deaths are from Kathua, 7,163 including 7,042 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,828 including 4,777 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,520 including 6,409 recoveries and 100 deaths are from Poonch, 6,055 including 5,987 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,744 including 6,646 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 4,375,869 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 6,125 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,719 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 3,932,185 persons have completed the surveillance period and 431,370 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 17,437,316 samples are available. Out of 17,437,316 the number of samples tested negative stands at 17,101,079 while as 336,237 have tested positive, among them 1,719 persons are active, 330,048 persons have recovered and 4,470 persons have died.(KNO)
