At a time when ‘Comedy King’ Kapil Sharma is facing backlash from some netizens on Twitter for not promoting ‘The Kashmir Files,’ on his popular show, the ‘Comedy King’ has found support in Kashmir Valley where social media users have been hailing his decision, urging him not to promote’ hate’.
The Kashmir Files Director Vivek Agnihotri claimed that Kapil and the show’s producers refused to invite them on The Kapil Sharma Show. After this claim, trolls were seen active on social media, and the #BoycottKapilSharmaShow started trending on Twitter.
“Kapil Sharma Ji we never expected from you this. We respect your success & hard work, but now you lost our love, respect & sympathy. Comparing to your platform social media is bigger than you. We will support #TheKashmirFiles! Now onward we #BoycottKapilSharma show & movies,” wrote a user on Twitter.
The tweets of boycott nature flooded on Twitter and Facebook.
However, amid this, social media users in Kashmir Valley supported Kapil Sharma and hailed his decision.
The netizens from Kashmir Valley wrote that ‘The Kashmir Files’ has been made to sow the seed of enmity between two communities. “It (TKF) is based on lies and far from the truth,” wrote a netizen.
“Vivek Agnihotri is trying to provoke people against the minority community and i wholeheartedly congratulate Kapil Sharma for denouncing hatred on his show,” a netizen on Facebook wrote.
