An encounter started between militants and govt forces started in Dar-Ganiegund Mohalla of Tral township in southern Kashmir’s Pulwama on Friday.
Reports said that gunfight ensued after govt forces cordoned off the village 15 kms from Tral township after specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area and started a search operation.
They said that during the searches the hiding militants fired at the forces triggering a gunfight.
Army, JK Police and the CRPF are engaged in the gunfight. More details are awaited.
