Srinagar, Nov 07: As predicted earlier, weather improved over most parts of J&K from today late afternoon and current weather is generally to partly cloudy.
● Another WD most likely to affect J&K and adjoining areas from 8th November (evening) to 10th november (morning) with main activity on 9th November.
●Under the influence of above system, Widespread light to moderate Rain over plains and light to moderate Snowfall over middle & higher reaches is most likely expected during 8th late night to 9th evening and gradual improvement thereafter.
●Dry weather is expected thereafter from 11 th November to 18th November.
Probable Impacts:
1. Snowfall & low temp. may led to temporary disruption of surface transportation, mainly over Jmu-Srinagar, Srinagar-Leh NHW, Mughal road, Sinthan pass, Sadhna pass etc. mainly on 9th November.
Advisory
1. Prior to embark on journey, Know status of road from Traffic police to avoid inconveniences.
2. Farmers are advised to drain out excess water from Orchards/fields and necessary pruning of trees.
