Budgam, May 17: The Power Development Department on Wednesday said the person who died of electrocution in Budgam was not their employee.
Rafiq Ahmed Dar, son of Bashir Ahmed Dar, a resident of Brenjan, Chadoora, lost his life on Tuesday evening when he was doing repairing work on an electric pole.
An official from the PDD told that the deceased was not an employee of the department. He said there are no official records of the deceased’s association with the Power Development Department.
The official said a group of individuals identify themselves as need-based workers within the PDD. “The department does not consider these individuals as its employees,” he clarified.
Javaid Ahmad, a local resident of Brenjan, told that the deceased was not an employee of the PDD but his father is associated with the department. “Rafiq was probably there to help his father and fell down from stairs during work,” he said.(KNO)
