The Director of School Education Kashmir, Tasaduk Hussain Itoo on Wednesday announced that no decision has been made regarding summer vacations for schools in the Kashmir Valley.
The current pleasant weather has influenced this decision, and there are no plans to change school timings either.
Speaking to the media during a visit to a private school in Nagbal, located in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, Itoo emphasized that the administration will consider summer vacations only if there is an extraordinary heat surge. “We have not decided yet about the summer vacation in Kashmir because the weather is pleasant,” he stated.
He further highlighted the importance of continuing education at this time. “There is a need to teach children now, and when the time comes, it will be decided whether to take a summer vacation,” Itoo said.
The director reassured that school timings will remain unchanged as the current weather conditions are favorable and not excessively hot.
This announcement comes as a relief to many parents and educators who were concerned about potential disruptions to the academic schedule.
