Gurugram, Dec 26: Simran Singh, a popular freelance radio jockey from Jammu and Kashmir, allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her rented house in Sector 47 here, police said on Thursday.
Her body was found hanging in her room on Wednesday night, they said, adding no suicide note was found from the spot. Simran had over 6 lakh followers on Instagram, police said.
Her body has been handed over to the family, the police said.
A resident of the Jammu region, she was known by her fans as “Jammu Ki Dhadkan (Heartbeat of Jammu)”.
In the reel that she posted on December 13, she wrote, “Just a girl with endless giggles and her gown, taking over the beach.”
