Srinagar, Jan 15: In line with the objectives of ongoing National Road Safety Month (2025), J&K Bank today reinforced its commitment to public safety and well-being by handing over barricades to the Traffic Police Department here. These branded barricades will be deployed for streamlining the vehicular movement in the city.

The Bank’s General Manager Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat and Deputy General Manager Manju Gupta formally handed over the first lot of 50 barricades to SSP Traffic (City Srinagar) Muzaffar Ahmad Shah in the presence of DSP Traffic Mehboobul-Haq senior officials from both organizations.

Speaking on the occasion, General Manager Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat said, “As a responsible financial institution, we feel pleased to collaborate with the Traffic Police Department, which plays a pivotal role in ensuring safe commuting of public through efficient traffic management. We remain committed to supporting initiatives that contribute to the greater good of society and enhance public safety and well-being.”

Thanking J&K Bank, SSP Traffic Srinagar City Muzaffar Ahmad Shah said, “We sincerely thank J&K Bank for this generous contribution. The branded barricades will not only assist in traffic management but also enhance public awareness about both organizations, while improving the overall aesthetics at traffic points.”

Notably, last year also, the Bank provided 200 such barricades, 100 each at Srinagar and Jammu, to the department as part of its commitment to greater public good.
