Srinagar, Feb 24(QNS): The reopening of schools in Kashmir, scheduled for March 1 after the winter break, could be affected due to unfavorable weather conditions, as the region braces for a major spell of rain and snowfall.
According to the independent weather forecaster Aadil Maqbool, Jammu and Kashmir is expected to witness heavy rain and snowfall between February 26 and 28, which may extend to March 1.
The weather system is likely to bring heavy to very heavy snowfall over higher reaches and rain mixed with snowfall in the plains, potentially disrupting normal life.(QNS)
