Awantipora, Feb 26: Police Station Khrew in Awantipora has registered the first ever electronic First Information Report (e-FIR) after a complaint was lodged via email.
In a post on X, District Police Awantipora posted, “Awantipora Police registers its first-ever e-FIR following a complaint lodged via email.”
The complaint, according to a police spokesperson, was filed by one Mushtaq Ahmed Bhat resident of New Colony Khrew, against Adil Ahmad Bhat and Bilal Ahmad Bhat both residents of same place
Alleging “assault of his whole family causing injury to them.”
“The complainant has supported the complaint with the OPD ticket from PHC Khrew and a copy of the Aadhaar card as proof,” added the spokesperson.
Taking cognisance of the complaint, an e-FIR was registered under the relevant sections of the BNS at police station Khrew.
