Srinagar, Mar 02: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a scheduled power shutdown in parts of Srinagar on March 5, 2025. The outage is being carried out to facilitate essential work on the Ring Main Unit (RMU) by M/S RECPDCL.
The Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33KV Wanganpora-Kawdara Mughal Masjid line will be switched off from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM. This will affect the Receiving Station at Kawdara, Mughal Masjid, leading to power disruptions in multiple localities.
The impacted areas include Zadibal, Mughal Masjid, Kawdara, Rajouri Kadal, Jamia Masjid, Firdous Colony, Bacchi Darwaza, and surrounding neighborhoods.
Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to plan accordingly to minimize inconvenience.
KPDCL has assured that power restoration will be prioritized once the maintenance work is completed.
