Srinagar, April 17: The Enforcement Wing of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has taken strong action against illegal constructions, sealing three commercial units in Bilal Colony, Qamarwari, for operating without necessary building permission and violating land use regulations.
Additionally, a demolition drive was also conducted at Rose Avenue Colony in the HMT area, where unauthorized structures were dismantled to ensure adherence to the Master Plan 2035 guidelines.
Commissioner SMC Dr. Owais Ahmed remarked, “Such actions will continue against violators across Srinagar city. The public is advised to obtain proper building permission before undertaking any commercial or residential construction.”
The SMC remains committed to protecting Srinagar’s urban planning framework and intensifying the efforts to curb illegal constructions.
