Srinagar, April 29(QNS): According to Weatherman, Kashmir is reeling under an intense heatwave, with several areas recording unusually high temperatures for April. Srinagar registered a scorching 30.8°C on Tuesday, marking the second-highest temperature ever recorded in the city for the month. The all-time April high remains 31.1°C, recorded on April 20, 1946.
Pahalgam witnessed a historic high of 27.8°C, breaking its previous April record of 27.4°C set in 1979. Meanwhile, Qazigund also sizzled at 29.4°C, adding to the region’s alarming heat trend.(QNS)
