A sentry manning a police post in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday evening opened fire after noticing some suspicious movement, police said.
SSP Sopore, Javid Iqbal said that the sentry opened fire after observing some suspicious movement in Warpora area of Sopore.
He said that the forces cordoned off the area and started searches.
Reports said that gunshots created panic in the area.
