Srinagar, July 18(QNS): According to the Independent Weather forecaster Aadil Maqbool has predicted the heaviest rainfall of this season starting July 21 and continuing until July 25, with the peak intensity likely on July 22 and 23.

He added, the approaching wet spell could bring heavy to very heavy rain in several parts of J&K, raising concerns about flash floods, landslides, and waterlogging, particularly in vulnerable areas.

“Current indications suggest the most intense phase of rainfall will occur between July 22 and 23,” he said, urging people to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary travel during this period.

He advised to stay on alert and keep disaster response teams ready, as the prolonged wet spell could disrupt normal life, particularly in low-lying and hilly regions.

Further updates and advisories will be issued by the Meteorological Department in the coming days.(QNS)
