The Jammu-Srinagar highway was shut for the fifth consecutive day on Sunday as fresh landslides at different places hit the restoration work, officials said.
An official said that clearance operation is going on in the Ramsoo-Ramban sector.
“The decision regarding allowing the movement of traffic on the highway will be taken only after the road is cleared off by the road maintenance agency concerned and after assessing the road condition,” the official said.
Meanwhile, the traffic on historical Mughal road, and Srinagar-Sonamarg, Gumri remained closed due to the accumulation of snow.
