Clashes erupted on Sunday between protesters and the government forces near the site of a gunfight in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A militant has been killed in the gunfight so far.
Earlier today police said that a militant, apparently a non-local, was killed in the gunfight that broke out early Sunday in Dar Ganai Gund village of Aripal area of Tral.
A police official confirmed that fresh exchange of fire took place after a lull.
The gunfight broke out after the forces launched a cordon-and-search-operation following inputs about the presence of at least two militants.
Reports said that the forces fired tear gas shells after youth took to streets and pelted them with stones.
