Jammu: Continuing its War against Drugs, J&K Police of Poonch district in association with 7/11 GR of Army achieved a major success by recovering 2 kilogram of Heroin like substance (Narcotic drug) and 10 lakh of Fake Indian Currency in the denomination of 400 notes of Rs.500/- and 400 notes of Rs. 2000/- denomination during routine naka checking from a bag of one drug peddler at loc gate No 488 in the Jurisdiction of Police Post Balakote this evening.
The accused has been identified as Mohd Zaffar Khan S/o Shabir Khan R/o village Dabbi Balakote.
In this connection the drug peddler was arrested alongwith the contraband and a case FIR No 40 /2019 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act and 489(c )of RPC has been registered at Police Station Mendhar.
