Srinagar: Intense clashes erupted in Drubgam village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district after government forces launched a cordon and search operation in the village.
Reports said that a joint team of government forces including army’s 44 RR, Special Operations Group pf Jammu and Kashmir police and paramilitary forces launched a search operation in the area.
As the operation started youths pelted stones on the forces triggering clashes. The government forces retaliated by firing tear smoke shells.
The clashes amid search operation were going on when this report was being filed.
