Srinagar, March 22: A personal security officer (PSO) of Congress leader and Municipal commitee chairman Anantnag Hilal Shah was injured in militant at Dangerpora area in the Southern district.
Reports reaching GNS said militants opened fire upon the police party resulting in injuries to one cop. The injured cop has been identified as Irshad Ahmad.
A police official also confirmed the incident and said that Irshad was taken to District Hospital for treatment.
Medical superintendent DH Anatnang Dr. Abdul Majid Mehrab said that the health facility recieved the injured with bullet wound in his abdomen.
After being operated upon, the injured was referred to SKIMS for advanced treatment.
