Leh Ladakh, 22-04-2019: On the intervening night of 20/21-04-2019 an information was received to Police Station Leh that some persons with injuries have been admitted at SNM Hospital. On this police party headed by SHO Leh rushed to the hospital and immediately swung into action.
Meanwhile,one person namely Thinles Nurbu S/O Nawang Lotus R/O Kharnaqling succumbed to his injuries during treatment. On this case FIR No 34 under section 302,307,324,506,34 RPC was registered at Police Station Leh.
Simultaneously police parties raided different locations and succeeded in arresting all the accused from different locations.
During investigation,the accused admitted to the crime and stated that on the fateful night ,04 of them had an altercation with the deceased and his friends at a local Cafe while having dinner and the accused party had called their friends for help.
Later at around 1130 hours, both the groups continued their altercation and ended up having a scuffle in the main market where the other friends of the accused party had reached and one of them attacked the deceased with sharp edged knife and also injured one of his own companion and other two of the rival party.
When the deceased fell down ,the accused fled from the spot leaving the injured who were shifted to SNM Hospital by a friend of the victim.
Presently all the accused are on police remand for further investigation whereas one accused is under treatment at SNM Hospital. A press conference regarding the case and its investigation was also held at DPO Leh today by SSP Leh Miss Sargun Shukla-IPS.
