Srinagar, May 03: The family of incarcerated Muhammad Yasin Malik who is chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Friday expressed their concern over the health condition of their beloved, saying Malik has been kept in solitary confinement.
Malik’s sister while addressing a presser here said that they were “extremely worried” about JKLF Chief’s well-being. She said that Malik has kept in solitary confinement in Tihar Jail, saying that nobody is being allowed to meet him.
“We managed a meeting recently and came to know that he has been kept in solitary confinement where he is being deprived of every basic facility. He is not being even being allowed to read books there,” Malik’s sister said.
JKLF chief’s sister further appealed people to pray for the wellbeing of Malik, saying that the government would be held responsible if any untoward incident happen to Malik.
Pertinently, Malik was shifted to a hospital in Delhi after his health condition got deteriorated. Malik was on hunger strike in Tihar Jail following which his health was deteriorated.
Earlier, a Delhi court has sent Malik to judicial custody till May 24. He was arrested in February this year.
