Srinagar, Aug 4 : Bharatiya Janata Party spokesman Altaf Thakur today strongly refuted the news reports that state flag was put down at the civil secretariat stating that the state flag was very much intact and flying high.
In a statement issued here, Thakur said that some vested interests were spreading false rumours to vitiate peaceful atmosphere prevailing in the Valley. “People are requested not to pay heed to rumours and maintain unity and to stay calm,” Thakur said.
