Expresses solidarity with victim, demands stern punishment to culprit, says Says no room for sectarian rifts in Kashmir as all Muslims were brothers to each other
Srinagar, May 12: Karwan-e-Islami patron Alama Ghulam Rasool Hami while condemning the gruesome rape incident in Malik Mohalla, Tregam area of Sumbal urged all sects of people in the area to forge unity at this hour of challenge and crisis stating that whosoever has done the heinous act should be given a stern punishment.
In a statement issued here, Alama Hami said the incident is a testing time for people of all sects of the area of Malik Mohalla especially the Shia and Suni communities to remain united at this hour of crisis and challenge and resolve the issue by peace talks instead of getting swayed and indulging in verbal or physical duals.
Alama Hami he has personally felt hurt by the act of rape and expressed solidarity with the victim and at the same time makes fervent appeal to all sects of society of Malik Mohalla, Tregam to start a peaceful dialogue to ensure victim gets justice as that was what the holy fasting month of Ramadhan teaches Muslims.
He said the wisdom lies in shunning the sectarian difference and starting a peaceful discussion to ensure the guilty, whosoever he may be, is given an exemplary punishment.
Alama Hami urged the local administration of the area and the policemen investigating the crime, to get to the root of the case and to ensure speedy justice to the victim by ensuring strict ever punishment to the culprit behind the gruesome act that has shaken every citizen of the area.
Calling for peace in the area, Alama Hami said irrespective of sects, Muslims are equal and as per the holy quran, Wabil Momineena Ikhwana (every muslims is a brother to each other) so there was no room for confrontation of indulging in any hate speeches, verbal or physical brawls.
