KAS aspirants stranded on Kashmir highway near Jawahar Tunnel appeal to authorities

Hundreds of KAS aspirants from Ramban district travelling to Anantnag for their exams were stranded on Srinagar-Jammu highway due to a traffic jam near Jawahar Tunnel on Sunday.

The students who had left from their homes early morning were stuck in a traffic jam between Qazigund and Jawahar Tunnel.

“Our centres are located at Anantnag and Bijbehara and our exam was scheduled to start at 10:10 am. It is half past ten and we are still on the road,” said Sameer Ahmad Wani.

The aspirants appealed to the authorities to allot them extra time to write their papers. “We are still stuck in the jam. We appeal to the authorities to give us stipulated time to write the papers,” said Ishfaq Ahmad Malik.
