Bandipora, Aug 3: At least eleven private clinics and labs functioning in Sumbal and Hajin areas of Bandipora were sealed on Thursday for the want of required documentation formalities.

Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Rafi Salati told that a comprehensive inspection was conducted by a team comprising of Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Umar Shafi Pandit, Chief Medical Officer, SDM Sumbal, Tehsildar Sumbal and Municipal Chairmen of Hajin and Sumbal along with the President of Private Diagnostic Labs Association of Bandipora and associated staff. “During the inspection, the team found at least 11 clinics and labs which included two dental clinics in Hajin and in Sumbal, one dental, one X-ray, and seven USG clinics/labs were operating without proper registration”, the medical officer said. 

“The visiting team instantly sealed all the eleven enterprises until they complete the required documentation process and obtain appropriate registration from the competent authorities,” he said.

“Additionally, several other clinical establishments and labs were cautioned to fulfill their documentation within seven days or face similar actions”, the officer further said. 

“The inspection was aimed to ensure compliance with the necessary healthcare standards and registration protocols in the district”, he said further. (GNS)
