Anantanag, July 30: Brief exchange of fire between government forces and militants took place in wopzan village of Bijbehara in South kashmir’s Anantnag district.
An official said that soon after cordon was laid in the area, militants fired upon government forces which was retaliated. He said as of now firing has stopped, however more reinforcement has been rushed to the spot.
Earlier cordon was laid in the area after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area. (KNO)
