Anantnag, Aug 05: A Border Security Force (BSF) personnel shot himself dead with his service rifle in Ashmuqam area of South Kashmir’s Annatnag district, officials said here on Friday.
An official told that a BSF personnel shot himself with his service rifle during Yatra duty at JNV Ashmuqam.
He said that the deceased personnel was from Assam and was posted with 108 F Coy battalion.
He further said that soon after he shot himself, his colleagues shifted him to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
The official said that further investigation in this regard has been taken up.(KNO)
