Srinagar, May 14: Massive clashes erupted between students and JK Police personnel near Amar Singh College Srinagar.
An eyewitness told KNO that the students stagee protest against the rape of minor in Sumbal Bandipora and tried to come out of the college premises.
However police deployed in the area foiled their attempt to hit streets triggering clashes in the area.
Locals told that students resorted to stone pelting from inside the campus to whuc police responded by using tear gas shells.
“It is total chaos here. Massive clashes are going on,” an eyewitness said.
