CRPF man who won hearts for his gesture to feed his lunch to a paralytic boy has been awarded DG’s Disc and Commendation certificate for his act.

The heartwarming video, showing a CRPF man in Jammu and Kashmir feeding a young boy went viral online, after users hailed the cop’s actions.

According to ANI CRPF Havaldar Iqbal Singh deployed in Srinagar has been awarded with DG’s Disc & Commendation Certificate for his act.

Reports said that he was driving a vehicle in the CRPF convoy on Feb 14 at the time of Pulwama terrorist attack.

According to reports Singh was on duty at Nawakadal, Downtown, Srinagar, and was was having his lunch, that’s when saw a kid who was hungry. He gave his food to the kid only to realise later that the kid seemed to have “paralysis” and was unable to eat by himself. So Singh fed the kid with his hands. During that process, the video was shot.

In the video, the personnel feeds the child, wearing a black shirt and pant, from a lunch box. He also goes on to wipe the face of the boy with his hand, and later makes him drink water from a glass.
