Government forces on Thursday launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Warpora area of Sopore tehsil in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports said that forces have sealed all the entry and exit points and launched house-to-house searches in the area.
A police official said that CASO was launched following information about the presence of militants in the area.
He said that searches were jointly launched by Army’s 22 RR, Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
