Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested four over ground workers of Hizb ul Mujahideen militant outfit and recovered huge amount of cash from them.
A police spokesman said that a case FIR No. 75/2018 U/S 17,18,20,21,38,39 and 40 ULA(P) Act was registered at police station Khrew after “reliable information” that a Hizb militant Adil Bhat has handed over huge cash to an over ground worker Rouf-ul-Islam Wani of Ladhoo Khrew.
He was apprehended and during questioning, he disclosed that he had received huge cash from Adil Ahmad Bhat for distribution of the same among the other militants and OGWs of HM outfit for raising the necessary support structure for the organization.
“The said accused disclosed that the cash amount was handed over to Mohd Maqbool Wani S/O Gh. Qadir Wani R/O Batapora Ladhoo, Shakeel Ahmad Wani S/O Ghulam Mohd Wani R/O Ladhoo and Musaib Aziz Gojree S/O Ab. Aziz R/O Namblabal Pampore, the OGWs of the outfit HM,” said the spokesman.
“All the other three over ground workers were also apprehended and subsequently cash amounts were recovered at four different places.”
