Srinagar: Hailstorm followed by heavy rains hit several villages of Rafiabad area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday causing damage to crops. The hailstorm lasted for at least ten minutes.
The villagers said that the brief hailstorm caused damage to vegetable crops and other fruits in the area.
The residents of the affected villages have urged district authorities to dispatch a team of officials to assess the losses and accordingly compensate the affected villagers.
