Seeks Governor Malik’s intervention
Srinagar: Bhartiya Janata Party state spokesman Altaf Thakur while strongly condemned the harassment of media men by denying them entry outside SK Stadium here urged Governor SP Malik to intervene into the issue.
In a statement issued here, Thakur said that media is the fourth estate and deserve all respect. He said police and the information department must clearify why senior and accredited journalists were denied entry into the venue.
“I urge the Governor SP Malik to intervene into the issue so that the greveiances of journalists are addressed forthwith,” he said , adding he stands with the media men at this hour.
