Maulana Peer Rehmatullah says the cleaning was carried out to ready for the congregational prayers
Srinagar, Jun 27: As a remarkable display of resilience and unwavering faith, people in Bohri Kadal in Srinagar are set to gather for Friday prayers at the historic Bazar Masjid tomorrow days after a devastating fire ravaged the area.
The fire, which occurred on June 24, caused extensive damage to the historic mosque, two shopping complexes and over a dozen residential houses, leaving the community in disarray.
Despite the extensive damage, the spirit of the community remains unbroken.
Maulana Peer Rehmatullah speaking to the news agency confirmed that the Bazar Masjid will host Friday prayers as scheduled.
“Insha Allah, Friday namaz will be offered at Bazar Masjid tomorrow as the cleaning drive is underway,” he said.
The Bazar Masjid, a cornerstone of spiritual life in Bohri Kadal, has been swiftly cleaned and prepared to welcome worshippers.
“The khutbah will start at 12:15 PM and the namaz will commence at 1:15 PM,” Moulana Peer Rehmatullah added, highlighting the determined efforts to restore their place of worship in time for the congregational Friday prayers.
