SRINAGAR: Senior Congress leader Saifuddin Soz said that Hurriyat never promoted violence on Sunday, after the Jammu and Kashmir administration withdrew security cover provided to five Hurriyat leaders including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
Saifuddin Soz further called for a dialogue to resolve the Kashmir issue. “It will be counter productive too and will not be an advantage for the government of India at all. This is a narrow vision of Kashmir. I have also said that Hurriyat never promoted violence.
A lot of Hurriyat leaders were murdered. Kashmir is a disputed land and it can be resolved through dialogues. Violence never bring things on road, it is dialogues which brings things on road,” he said.
“PM Modi’s politics is fake. He is selling things for 2019. This is great security lapse and PM Modi could be blamed for it. There is always a free hand.
Kashmir is in bad situation because of AFSPA”.
Acting tough against the separatists, the government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued notification revoking security and any vehicles assistance provided to the separatists and their sympathizers.
