India has cleared its stance on the captivity of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman and has not asked for consular access but his immediate release.
Quoting the sources, ANI reported that India believes “Pakistan is trying to create a Kandahar type pressure but India will not give in, there will be no deal or talks on Wing Commander.”
Stating the stance, “India expects Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman to be returned immediately, there is no question of any deal. If Pakistan thinks they have a card to negotiate with then they are mistaken. India expects the Wing Commander to be treated in a humane manner.”
Yesterday, allegedly Pakistan shot down India’s MiG 21 Bison, reportedly flown by Abhinandan Varthaman, and the pilot was captured alive after the plane crashed in Pakistan’s territory across LoC.
