Srinagar, Feb 12(QNS): Jammu and Kashmir’s Grand Mufti, Mufti Nasir Ul Islam, has officially confirmed that Shab-e-Barat will be observed on February 13, 2025, which corresponds to the 14th night of Shaban in the Islamic calendar.
In a statement, Mufti Nasir clarified any confusion regarding the date and affirmed that his office had verified the lunar calendar calculations. Shab-e-Barat, considered a night of forgiveness and prayers, holds significant religious importance in Islam, as devotees engage in worship and seek divine blessings.
The confirmation comes as people across the region prepare for night-long prayers and observances. Religious scholars have urged the faithful to mark the occasion with devotion while maintaining peace and unity.(QNS)
