J&K police detain 7 youth during nocturnal raids from South Kashmir’s Shopian

Shopain: At least seven youth have been arrested during nocturnal raids in Arhama village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Reports said that the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, the special operations group of Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF raided residential houses in the area and and bundled seven local youth in their vehicles and drove them away.

The youth have been identified as Ishaq Ittoo, son of Ahsan Ittoo; Mehrajuddin Mir, son of Ghulam Qadir Mir; Arshid Lone, son of Jabbar Lone; Shabir Kulley, son of Rashid Kulley; Gh. Nabi Mir, son of Qadir Mir; Irfan Ittoo, son of Abdul Rashid and Fayaz Ahmad Mir, son of Muhammad Ahsan Mir.

A police official while confirming the arrest of seven persons said that they have been arrested for questioning over allegations of being involved in stone pelting and law and order problems.
