A special court in Pathankot held six out of seven persons guilty in the gangrape-and-murder of an eight-year-old nomadic girl in Kathua.

Sanjhi Ram, Deepak Khajuria and Parvesh who were convicted for rape and murder were given life sentence while other three who were convicted for destruction of evidence were given five year imprisonment.
The prosecution had prayered for capital punishment to the convicts,” said Advocate Mubeen Farooqui.
