Says, ‘people should restraint from going to encounter sites till the ammunition is defused’
The Additional Director General Police Law & order and security Munir Ahmad Khan Sunday termed the killing of civilians in a blast in the aftermath of an encounter in a Kulgam village very unfortunate and uncalled for and appealed people to restraint from going to encounter sites immediately after the encounters so that ammunition if any available at the encounter site can be defused by the defusing squad of Jammu and Kashmir police.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) law & order and security Munir Ahmad Khan said, “unfortunate and uncalled for are the killing of civilians but more unfortunate is the non-cooperation
In this one incident case people as usual didn’t follow the appeals for restraint from going to the encounter site and went into a room of the house from where they were fighting with the government forces and touched a UBGL and a grenade which exploded and resulted in the killing of civilians. I once again like to appeal people to exercise restrain from going to the encounter sites till the government forces clear the ammunition from there.”
