Condemns the continuous incarceration of JKLF chairman and others.
Srinagar: ongoing Spree of killings, arrests and police raids are glaring example of Jammu Kashmir being a police state where only the law of jungle is prevailing.
Martyrdom of three Kashmiri youth including an unarmed civilian is part of this cruel and colonial mindset. JKLF strongly condemns the continuous incarceration of its chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and others, also denounces the police highhandedness against its member Meraj ud din Parray of Soitaing Lasjan.
In a press release issued today, JKLF has said that ongoing spree of killings, arrests, slapping of public safety act on political activists and shifting them to outside valley jails and other oppressive measures are glaring example of Jammu Kashmir being run according to the whims and commands of police and security apparatus.
JKLF said that today killing humans at will is being glamorized and arresting peaceful political activists under black laws has become new normal which is nothing but travesty of democracy and trampling of humanity.
While paying tributes to martyrs who embraced martyrdom today in Srinagar, JKLF said three more youth namely Martyr Meraj ud din Bangroo, martyr Fahad Mushtaq Waza along with another unarmed civilian martyr Raiees Ahmad have fallen to the bullets of Indian forces .
This unending loss of loved ones is piercing the hearts and souls of Kashmiris and we all pray to Allah almighty to save the younger generation of Kashmiris from tyrants and oppressors. Kashmiri youth are being pushed to the wall left with no other option but to tread the path of ultimate sacrifice and killed brutally at will, which is highly condemnable.
While expressing solidarity with the families of these martyrs, JKLF said that whole Kashmir shares their grief and sorrow and stands in solidarity with them. While condemning police assault on photo/video journalists who were covering police action at Feteh Kadal, JKLF said that no one is safe from the cruel and colonial mindset of these forces.
While condemning the relentless spree of arrests and raids on political activists, JKLF said that Nowgam police from yesterday evening has conducted various raids against a JKLF senior member Meraj Ud din Parray of Soitang Lasjan and today even confiscated his scooter from his shop.
Terming this police highhandedness as most condemnable, JKLF said that police action against political activists’ amounts to state terrorism. It is pertinent to mention that JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik who was taken in custody on 2nd October 2018 along with zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal is still languishing at Kothibagh police station while as JKLF leaders Siarj Ud din Mir, Zahoor Ahmad Butt, Abdul Rashid Magloo, Assadullah Shiekh,Ghulam Nabi Kashmiri etc are languishing in jails of Jammu under PSA and Shiekh Nazir ahmad is serving a life sentence at Kotbalwal jail Jammu.
