A man was critically injured after a bear attacked him near his home at Teli Mohalla in Lar tehsil of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district last evening.
An official said that Mohd Ashraf Hajam (41) of Teli Mohalla Lar was heading towards his home when a bear appeared from a maze field and attacked him.
The passersby raised an alarm following which the bear ran away, leaving Hajam in a pool of blood.
A police party from Lar police station rushed to the spot and rushed the injured to a nearby hospital, where from he was referred to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment.
