The former J&K chief minister also said that the GoI should allow Malik’s wife and his daughter to meet him.
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Monday demanded the immediate release of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Yasin Malik in view of failing health.
Addressing the reporters on the sidelines of a party function in Kulgam, Mehbooba said the condition of Yasin Malik is very bad.
“I would like to appeal the government to immediate release Yasin Malik so that he gets treatment. God forbid, if something bad happens to him, the outcome would be catastrophic,” she said.
The former J&K chief minister also said that the GoI should allow Malik’s wife and his daughter to meet him. Malik’s Pakistan-based wife Mushaal Mallick had on Sunday said that she would travel to India to meet her ailing husband.
Malik, according to his family, was shifted to a hospital in New Delhi after his condition deteriorated inside the prison due to a hunger strike.
