A militant was killed after forces and militants exchanged brief firing in watergam area of North Kashmir’s Sopore.
Reports said that militants and government forces exchanged brief fire after a army’s 32RR patrolling party was passing through the area.
A senior police officer told GNS that a army patrolling party was passing through the area when hiding militants fired upon them triggering a brief exchange of fire.
The officer further said that in this exchange of firing one militant was killed.
As per the sources one pistols and three grenades were recovered from the slain militant, however the identity of the slain militant is yet to he ascertained.
While this report was being filed searches were still going on in the area to find anymore militant body.
