A policeman was killed after militants attacked police station Shopian in this south Kashmir district on Sunday.
An official said the slain cop, identified as Saqib Mohiudin of Zawoora village of the district, was manning the entry gate of the police station when the attack took place around 6:30 am.
He said that Mohiudin was injured in the attack following which he was rushed to district hospital Shopian where he succumbed.
The official said the attackers decamped with the rifle of the slain cop.
