Militants on Saturday evening fired at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in Nowdal hamlet of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Officials said that militants fired few shots towards CRPF camp in Nowdal. The CRPF troopers on duty retaliated by firing towards the militants.
The brief exchange of fire, they said, continued for some time but no loss of life or injury was reported.
Following the attack, reinforcements were rushed to the spot and forces launched searches to nab the attackers, said an official.
