Srinagar, Aug 30: A 6-year-old girl was critically injured after a rusted shell exploded at TeePee in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said.
They identified the girl as one Azra Quyoom daughter of Abdul Quyoom of Zonarishi Chowkibal Kupwara.
“The injured girl was evacuated to SDH Kralpora from where she was taken to SDH Kupwara from where she was referred to SMHS Srinagar for preferential treatment”, they said.
A Senior Police Officer in the district confirming the incident and said that the minor girl was injured in a low intensity mysterious blast at TP Kralpora.
“Nature of blast being confirmed, prima facie looks like an old driven explosive substance”, the police officer said further. (GNS)
