Authorities on Tuesday suspended a municipal committee official for allowing illegal construction in Anantnag township of south Kashmir.
Taking to GNS, Executive Officer Municipality Committee Anantnag, Sarfraz Ahmad said that on Tuesday, he along with the team inspected several areas including Mehandi Kadal and Ashijipora bypass road where he directed the team to immediately stop all illegal construction going on in the area.
During the inspection, the officer said, he found some illegal construction going on in the area. “I took a serious note of it and immediately ordered the suspension of the concerned Khilaf Warzi officer for allowing illegal construction in the area,” he said.
He said that a flying squad was also constituted on Tuesday which will check the illegal construction in the township.
“We will issue the notice to all the persons to stop illegal constructions in the area,” the officer said. “If they will not adhere to it, then the same will be dismantled without any delay.” (GNS)
